Last Friday, I had a lot of errands to run. Normally, Lila is very well behaved when we go shopping, but on Friday, she was extra good. After a marathon trip to Target, where she did not ask to get out of the cart one time (she's the one that started screaming WALKKKKK, LILA WALLLLLLKKKKKK, when she was just over a year of age) we headed over to Marshall's because I had to get a new purse. When I said that to Emily, she said, "you had to get a new purse?" Yes, yes I did. My strap on my other one had about worn through so I'd say it was about time.
While I looked at the purses, Lila amused herself with the hats. Then to complete the look, she found a purse and started modeling. She kept telling me, "I'll be right back, Mom. Gotta go on a trip!" It was very cute and she had all the ladies laughing. She has quite the personality.
I kept asking her to show her eyes in this one, but she preferred it far down on her head and told me to "just take the picture!" Then she had to see the picture to make sure I captured the look she wanted:) She's really hilarious most of the time and I find myself laughing at her assessments of daily life. I was talking to her in the bath one night this weekend and I guess I must have started replying too soon because she said, "Mom! Please quit talking over my stories!" Ok, sweet girl, I will. Because someday in the not too distant future, you might not want to tell me all your stories:)
