Mother's Day Weekend

It was a spectacular weather weekend! We spent the majority of the weekend outside. Scott started a new project in our front yard. We had to pull out our obnoxious hedge a few weeks ago. Can I get a "Why didn't we do this before?" Uh-huh. More on this project later...let's just say that Scott is sore. And Lila will have dirt under her nails for the next 3 months.
Nate worked very hard in the yard and earned some much deserved money. He went to to Target to buy a small Lego (never wants to spend too much, that's my boy:)) and quickly went to work on it.
He loves this new character - sleeps with it I think.
Y'all. This little girl decided a few weeks ago that she was going to be potty trained. I'm still in a little bit of shock. It just sort of happened, without a lot of effort on anyone's part. Granted, she has been interested off and on since November. But never really for real. Well it's real now. At home. And at school. And on 2 road trips. She's unbelievable this one.  We have however found the one reason boys are easier than girls in the potty training department...not necessarily having to come inside to go to the bathroom!
Nate joined us outside after he finished building. It was gorgeous on Saturday. My beautiful Mother's Day flowers made it in the picture as well.
The picture that wasn't...
I think they were getting ready to have a sword fight here.
Yep. A sword fight.
Filling up the bird feeders for our Cardinals - we have some fantastic ones this year!
Scott took the kids to the indoor pool on Sunday. Aren't they sweet??
We tried to get a Mother's Day picture. And succeeded for the most part.  I couldn't choose my favorite.

Off to the Boathouse for a Mother's Day dinner. We sat right on the water and the kids were very entertained by the water and the ducks.

Wonderful wonderful weekend! This weather can continue forever in my opinion...it won't, as it is supposed to be 90 today! Summer here we come...

So sweet. I love the one with the goggles. Also, Lila looks pretty dreamy in lilac. xxoo je
