Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day this year! It started with a surprise package on Friday from my fabulous co-workers, Penny & Paulette. They have to be the nicest people on the planet. They sent candy for all of us and a stuffed dog for Nate - which he loves and has slept with every day since. Thank you Penny & Paulette - you all are the best!

After swimming lessons, Nate and I made heart cupcakes. He likes the icing more than the actual cake part...just like me :)

We tried to carry the heart theme the entire day...hence the heart shaped PB&J. He thought it was great.

For Valentine's Day, Scott & I gave Nate his very own cash register. When we met up with the Pooleys a few weeks ago, Quinn had one of these and Nate was in love. It has a scanner and a cash drawer, so he has located everything that has a barcode in his room to scan (not that a barcode is required, but it makes it that much more fun.) Needless to say, it was a hit and Scott and I lose it every time he tells us he is going to play with his "castrater."

For dinner, we headed to St. Charles to meet the Peach families. Robert & Maisie were in town from Florida and we enjoyed spending time with them. Here we are on about our 55th attempt to get a picture.

Maisie & Avery both have February birthdays, so we did cupcakes at the restaurant. More sugar on an already sugary day...

This restaurant has Sparky the clown make balloon animals and do face painting for the kids. Nate said NO WAY to face painting, but he did go get a giraffe.
