Day 3 - Disney

On the third day, my little family got up early and hit the road so we could get in line to meet Elsa & Anna very first thing. Scott & Nate had plans to go ride Splash Mountain while Lila & I waited.

We arrived at the backside of the castle and found the line to already be 90 minutes. But we hopped in line and I have to say, Lila did not complain one time while waiting to meet the Queen & Princess.

She looks sad here, but only because she didn't want to look at me when I wanted to take her picture! I kind of love the picture though because she looks so much like Emily here. Funny how that happens.
After we waited the straight up 90 minutes, it was finally our turn. I have to say it was worth it. She was SO excited and Elsa & Anna really did make her feel special. It wasn't rushed at all.
Showing Elsa her dress:)
Two Queen Elsas!
After Elsa, we walked across the room to meet Anna. Anna gets less attention than Elsa, but I like her better (shhhh...don't tell Lila). She's very cute and spunky.
She asked Lila if she could freeze the world into anything, what would it be...
She said ice cream. I'm not sure Anna had heard that before because she cackled really loud. Or maybe she had and that's her job. Yes, that's probably it.
She is grinning from ear to ear!
After finishing up with the royalty, we met up with our crew for some Dumbo. Levi's smile cracks me up! Love him.
Getting ready to ride Dumbo with Uncle Scott!
Dumbo was fabulous and then we mosied over to the Teacups. Lila liked to turn the wheel really fast, so nobody could go with her except Scott or they'd have to vomit afterwards. My daredevil.
I got to ride with these cuties - they loved being together!
They didn't turn the wheel half as fast as Lila. Truly.
Next up - Day 4 of Hollywood Studios & Magic Kingdom again!

Day 2 - Disney

On Day 2, with the Odoms & Mimi & Paka in tow, we made our way to Epcot. Spaceship Earth had no wait so we walked right in - perfect to start our visit with this classic.
After Spaceship Earth, Scott & Lila found this shuffleboard type game and she thought it was fabulous.

While the big boys went to Soarin' (note: Nate HATED it when we went before, but he loved it this time!), the girls and Levi went to visit Mickey & Minnie. I can't say it enough. Lila was so cute with the characters. After our visits to the characters the day before, she made mention that she wished she had a pad for the characters to sign. Mimi rectified that and she was SO happy!

Sweet Levi and The Mouse!
Seeing Minnie again with Mimi:)
I love this picture!
Oh my, kissing Minnie. So sweet!
Now this has to be the best picture of the whole trip! I wonder if Chip or Dale are goosing Mimi?!?!
Hands to yourself Chip. Or Dale.
Y'all. This is the only family picture we got the whole trip. And isn't it a beauty. Except the opposite of that.
We also went to Hollywood Studios on Saturday. But I guess I didn't get any pictures of that except on my phone - totally different post. I'll get caught up some time.

Day 3 was back to Magic Kingdom! Up next!

Disney - Day 1

We set out for sunny Orlando on Thursday, November 20th. It had just snowed in St. Louis so our trip could not have come at a better time. The kids were very excited to get out of town, go to Disney and most of all be with their Odom cousins (and Mimi, Paka, Aunt Amanda & Uncle David too of course:)!

We arrived safely and met Mimi & Paka at the lovely house we would be staying in with the rest of the fam. Early the next morning, my little family got up and headed to Magic Kingdom while we waited on the Odoms to arrive that evening! Truth: Scott wanted to get the kids up at 6:00 AM, which would have been 5:00 AM our time, but I put the kabash on that. Judging by the time the kids slept to that morning, it was the right call to get them some extra rest. Sometimes mothers just know about sleep. Ok, I really meant to say all the time mothers know about sleep. Fact.

The only activity Lila requested to do at Disney was to meet Elsa and Anna. We had heard the lines were very long - even up to 4 - 5 hours this summer. Since we were not able to get a FastPass, we knew we would have to wait. So we checked in on that first when we arrived at the park. It was 120 minutes. The kids and I hopped in line but quickly decided we didn't want to spend the first 2 hours of our park visit in line. So we decided to try again later and headed over to the Buzz Lightyear ride. It was a hit with Nate when we went in 2010, so we thought Lila might like it.

She wasn't so sure...
Scott & Nate heading out to shoot up some Zurg.
Lila wasn't a huge fan, so she put this on her "Not to do again" list.

Here are my boys from the last trip in front of Zurg...
After Buzz, we headed over to the Speedway. Nate was tall enough to go by himself, but he couldn't push the pedal like he would like, so he didn't do that again. Lila's little head didn't come over the steering wheel, but that didn't keep her from steering!
The classic Dumbo!
Nate was totally not into meeting any characters when we went last time, but Lila was all about it.
Daisy Duck
 Hugging Minnie Mouse
Doing a little curtsy with Minnie Mouse
Nate was still not super interested in meeting characters so after our visit there, the 2 of us headed back to Buzz while Scott & Lila rode the Astro Orbiter.
In his happy place!
Scott & Nate headed over to ride Splash Mountain (he loved it!) while Lila & I met Ariel.
Lila loved her so much. She did keep asking me why Ariel's costume had material on her belly though.
After a ride on Pirates of the Carribean, we hit up the Mickey ice cream stand.
Then we just happened to be in the right spot for the 3:00 parade. Lila loved it so much she was shaking. So we did get to see Elsa & Anna on the first day after all. Don't worry, this was not the only time Lila got to see them. Yes, I stood in the line. More about that later.
Another classic - Teacups!
And a compare from 2010:
I think our final ride of the day was the People Mover. Nate was all about the pictures this trip. Lila? Not so much.
I can't remember what Nate & Scott were doing - maybe Buzz again? But Lila & I headed to the front to wait on them to leave. She danced around in her fairy Minnie ears and was so happy.

Day 2 up next! The Odoms arrive and we hit up Epcot!

Busy Blog

Long time, no blog! It's been a little busy around here...let's see...

We took these 2 hooligans to Disney World, and met a few other hooligans there...
Then we celebrated this little monkey turning FOUR YEARS OLD. Don't even get me started.
Oh and then we celebrated Thanksgiving two different times...

and put up our Christmas decorations.

To say it's been a busy full last 2 weeks is an understatement.

Back with the full run-down soon!
